Signs Of The End Times: World Conditions-Deceptions-Nations and Kingdoms.

The signs of the times which Jesus gave to His followers indicate the general nearness of His coming, but we do not know the exact day or time. Jesus is coming soon, but He could come for any one of us at any time. Whether we meet Him through the Rapture or by death, we will rejoice equally at being in His presence.

Mark 13 :4; Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

Jesus graphically answered the disciples identified the conditions of the end times. He gave clear warnings to the believers to be ready for His return.

WORLD CONDITIONS.

When we consider the various horror of crimes and sweeping tide of evil, world conditions declare that the end is near. With the constant exposure to evil daily, we must be aware of what’s going on in our world today without Fear or Prejudice, inorder to take a stand against the effects of evil. As Christians and part of the the Lord’s church in the world Our attitudes and moods should be different from that of unbelievers of the world.

DECEPTION RAMPANT.

Jesus warned against deception and deceivers in (Matthew 24 :4-5).So many times we are so concerned with the thoughts of predicted wars, earthquakes, famine, but before Jesus warned of these , He warned against a much more Dangerous development-Deceivers. All the knowledge of world events is unimportant if we misinterpret it or if we don’t understand it.We must beware of deception in the world today.

We must not be deceived. Jesus passionately made this point at least twice in His Sermon recorded in Matthew 24. Though there are many who come claiming to be “Christ ” like Christ “ we should not be fooled nor distracted by their claims. Jesus warned that false prophets and false christ would deceive many but the believers attention and efforts should remain securely rooted and grounded on Jesus Christ and His Salvation Plan for us.

NATIONS and KINGDOMS.

Jesus well described the challenges of our day when He said nation would rise against nation. Not only have there been tensions and strife between various countries of the world, but also cultural distinctives within those nations. Perhaps there has never been a time in history when there has been more attempts to magnify the differences between cultures. Such efforts have given birth to a new and often used word in our day -multiculturalism.

God is still in control of this world, inspite of nations and kingdoms rising and falling, God still rules in the affairs of mankind. ( See Daniel 2: 20-22.) God’s power to set up kings and put then down when they misbehave and mistreat His people has not diminished. It has been seen in many recent historical changes in many governments worldwide.

It’s important for Christians and for the church to remember that with God we are all one people. We should be careful not use the Bible to justify our own personal views, beliefs fears, pride, prejudices.

It is displeasing to God for there to be divisions, groups, and cliques within the Church. God clearly demonstrated that He is no respector of persons ( See Acts 10:9-16). ( See also Galatisns 2 :1-16.).

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)

It’s all too common for believers to grow complacent, while unbelievers may become increasingly indifferent to the reality of Christ’s return. Your well-written article, complete with compelling supporting scriptures, serves as a powerful wake-up call to the importance of remaining vigilant and focused on this central aspect of faith. Thank you for your thought-provoking piece.
