The imagery of a storm best describes the chaos, challenging struggles, turbulence and trials of life because we all have experienced storms and have seen their ravaging power. We have all experienced life events that brought us devastation and great suffering. It just seem natural to compare compare life’s trials and difficulties to storms.
We All Face Storms In Our Lives
” Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you ” (1 Peter 4 12 ).
Suffering, trials, troubles, are the way of human life. Such experiences happen to every individual whether believer or nonbeliever. The scriptures says that God cause the sun to rise on the evil and the good, the rain on the just and the unjust. ( Matthew 5 : 45) in other words, we all experience the same benefits of life and we all encounter the same hurts, troubles, and trials. They all are part of the human experience.
The mark of our character is not whether they encounter the storms of life, for everyone will. The true mark of character is how we face and handle the storms when they come.None is exempt from life’s disappointments, pain or sicknesses, loss of the death of loved ones.Just as storms pass so do our sufferings, hurts, trials, troubles.
Stillness In The Storm
The “Eye of the Storm” there is a calm still spot right in the center of the storm or hurricane as the storm rages around, there is rest in the eye. So it’s when the storms come raging around us our minds should be calm and emotions stable because in the eyes of the storm there ìs rest eventually there will be changes. Whatever our storms may bring to our lives experience, we will surrender our minds to meditation and listening for the voice of God because He will be the voice in the midst of our storms.
