Transformed by the Renewing of Your Mind.

Christianity is a totally new way of life. We are not conformed to the ways of this world, but transformed to God’s way of victorious living. Romans 12:2. “And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Nicodemus, a ruler among the Jews, sought out Jesus for instructions. Jesus said that in order for a man to see and enter the kingdom of God he must be born again of water and of the Spirit (John 3:1-5). However, this initial experience does not form the entirety of Christian living. It is the doorway into a new way of living a transformed life.

When an individual is born again he enters into a brand new world. Every part of his life is affected. His body, his mind, his emotions are all influenced by the transformation. Salvation is more than an experience it is a lifestyle.

It is not enough for one to continually take mental journeys back to his or her initial salvation experience. That experience has now become the Foundation upon which their transformed life is built. There are immediate changes that happen when a person is filled with the Spirit. However the process of change continues. In fact,it’s an ongoing process. We are children of God learning and growing in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God established the principle of separation in the beginning of creation in Genesis chaper 1. In verse 4, He divided the light from the darkness, in verse 7, He divided the waters above from the waters beneath, in verse 9, He divided the dry land from the seas, in verse 14, He divided the day from the night. God has always advocated separation and distinction between unlike things.

Romans 12:2 warns us not to let the world systems determine what we are to be : ” And be not conformed to this world .” This admonition has been translated as: ” Don’t allow the world systems to mold you into its shape, don’t conform to its carnality and unrighteousness.” Rather than be conformed, we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds! We are to yield ourselves to God rather than to the designs of this world. We are to live after the new person that the Spirit of God as now transformed us into.

The transformed person will not love the the world system or the things in the world (1 John 2:15). The transformed person will not be pulled by worldly influences but will be motivated by the image,to be separated from the evil and ungodly things of the world around him or her. There is a desire to praise God for the positive changes that comes with Transformation (See 1 Peter 2:9) .The new nature.

God’s call is not only ” Come out of the world!” but also ” Come into my light ! ” He calls us to turn loose from the cares of this world and embrace His purpose and His holiness. Transformation is not merely separation from the world’s system and ungodlyness but its about getting closer to God and lead by His Spirit.

We can live in the world and not be of the world. We can love the sinner ( We were sinners ) but dislike the sin. We can refuse to step down to the level of sin and be a partaker, but we can still reach down and out to the unsaved or unbelievers with compassion.Striving to elevate them to a higher plane. We have been changed to show others that there is better way and there is hope for them as well. Ours is both a transformation experience and a transforming ministry.

The transformed life is truly a new life . It makes us a new person ( Ephesians 2 :24 ). We enter into a new covenant ( Hebrews 12:24 ) and walk in a new way (Hebrews 10 :20). In our Christian life on earth, God prepares us to live in a new heaven and a new earth ( 11 Peter 3:13 ) where we will have a new home. ( Revelation 3:12 ) There we will sing a new song throughout eternity ( Revelation 14:3 ). The consummation of the transformed life of Christians is found in Revelation 2:15 : “Behold I make all things new.” Blessings.

Without water baptism and the filling of the holy spirit we cannot be transformed and renew. Self cannot help us to reach this state we need God hi self to make this change step by step. It’s not an overnight this, but a process.
